How to assemble Drive ZooMe Recreational Scooter?
- Insert the front wheel assembly into the scooter platform, slide both bolts through the platform and attach the nuts onto the threaded end of the bolts. Secure the front wheel assembly onto the platform by tightening the nut and bolt assembly with the open-ended wrenches in your tool kit.
- Insert the lower portion of the handlebar assembly into the front wheel assembly and secure it by tightening the 6mm Allen screw underneath the folding mechanism circled in the image to the right.
- Insert the top portion of the handlebar assembly into the lower part installed in Step 2, and secure it in place by tightening the lever and nut assembly and then clamping down the lever.
- Install the vinyl basket onto the circular metal frame by wrapping the hook and loop fasteners at the inner top of the vinyl basket over the metal frame. Then hang the basket onto the steering tiller, secure the outer hook, and loop the fastener around the tiller.
- Install the seat onto the seat bracket by inserting the four bolts provided through the seat bracket and securing tightly to the seat.
- Insert the seat post into the scooter platform and tighten the clampdown to secure it to the platform.
- Insert the seat into the seat post and tighten the clampdown to secure it.
- Place the rubber floormats onto the scooter's platform and secure them in place by pressing down on the tabs.
- Install the front fender by inserting the nut and bolt assembly through the fender's mounting tab and front fork of the scooter.
- Fully charge the scooter by inserting the round charger connector into the battery charging terminal on the scooter platform, and then insert the plug into a standard electrical outlet. Allow the scooter to charge for 8-12 hours on the first charge.

Drive Three Wheel Scooter Cleaning and Maintenance Instructions
Battery Maintenance:
To ensure maximum life from your batteries and continued use of your scooter, please follow these charging guidelines based on your usage:
- If you use your scooter daily, charge the batteries as soon as you are finished with the day's activities, and leave it on charge until you are ready to use the following day.
- If you use your scooter infrequently, charge the batteries once a week for 10 to 14 hours.
Inspection:
- Your scooter is an advanced mobility device, and with the correct routine maintenance, you can ensure years of maximum use. While some of the care can be done by yourself, you may need assistance from an authorized distributor.
- Preventative maintenance is key to keeping your scooter in prime operating condition. Follow the Maintenance Schedule at the end of this section to periodically inspect your scooter for available items.
- Avoid abuse of the throttle and control functions.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold.
- Keep the scooter clean and free from moisture.
- Never use a conditioner on the tread of the wheels.
Operating Temperatures:
Your scooter is designed to operate ideally between 18° F and 122° F. In extremely cold conditions, and your batteries may freeze depending on the battery charge, usage, and composition. In extremely hot conditions, your scooter may operate at a slower speed. This is due to the safety mechanism built into the unit to prevent damage to the gearbox and other electronic functions when running too hot.
Cleaning:
- Use a damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner on the plastic and metal parts to clean your scooter. If necessary, clean your scooter with an approved disinfectant safe for use on your unit.
- Never hose off your scooter or expose it to direct contact with water.
- Never use any chemicals on the upholstery of your seat. This may cause the seat to dry out and crack.
Warning:
- Never use your scooter while under alcohol or mind-altering substances.
- Never smoke while seated in your scooter. Damaged or worn upholstery increases the risk of fire hazards and should be replaced immediately.
- Be aware of your physical limitations when familiarizing yourself with the scooter.
- Be aware of precautions, warnings, and safety issues when taking prescribed or over-the-counter drugs while operating your scooter.
- Never attempt to navigate your scooter over a fixed obstacle taller than the maximum ground clearance.
- Never attempt to navigate your scooter backward over an obstacle.
- Never attempt to operate your scooter on steps or escalators.
- Drive your scooter straight up or down an incline, never backward. Erratic movements or back and forth patterns may increase the chance of tipping.
