Safe t Mate 3rd Generation Wheelchair Anti-Rollback Device

The Safe-T-Mate Wheelchair Anti-Rollback Device is intended to keep a wheelchair from rolling back and away from the user as they sit or stand up in it. A lever is mechanically linked to the brake arms and directly contacts the underside of the seat. When the patient stands up, the brake arms clamp down on the wheels, preventing the chair from rolling backward. The brake arms automatically unlock when the patient is seated. Includes the option of installing a chair exit alarm directly on the device. When the device is properly installed, rotating it toward the engaged position sounds the alarm. When the alarm is rotated away from the engaged position, it automatically resets. A 9V battery powers the alarm.
